The Fortnite map saw a complete overhaul for the latest chapter in the battle royale, meaning we have a whole new island to make our playground. There are plenty of Fortnite map changes to keep track of, with fresh environment challenges to contend with as well as new areas being unveiled fairly regularly as the snow melts away. If you want the latest details on this new battleground, then here are the biggest Fortnite map changes. Fortnite Season 8 is coming to an end and so is Fortnite Chapter 2. Tomorrow, a new Fortnite event will transition the free-to-play battle royale game to Chapter 3. While leaks have leaked a little bit about the new season, there's still plenty of mystery going into the end of Season 8 and the start of Chapter 3.
Will Fortnite Bring Back The Og Map For example, we don't know what the new map is going to look like, and right now, there's building speculation that the third chapter of the game will bring back the old map. Tilted Towers, a city full of skyscrapers and destructible buildings, was part of Fortnite's first battle royale island map. Fortnite Season 8 is coming to an end and Chapter 2 is also coming to an end.
The Fortnite events will transform the free-to-play battle royale game into Chapter 3. While leaks have reportedly leaked over the new season, there's still lots of mystery going into the end of Season 8 and the start of Chapter 3. For example, we don't know what the new map will look like. Currently there's speculation that the third section of the game will return the old map. Assuming the project isn't shut down by Epic Games, players will be able to use mods to load old season maps and trigger live events. This is according to modder Mix who has posted screenshots and videos of an offline mod that allows access to a wide range of in-game assets.
The ability to return to previous seasons and reliveFortnitelive events of the past is something that all players would no doubt enjoy. For veterans, it's a chance at nostalgia, while newcomers would get to experience epic events that they had missed out on. These wonderful trips back in time are exactly what modder Mix is teasing on Twitter.
Besides Epic Games itself teasing the return of the OGFortnite default skins, dataminers have also leaked their existence. It seems that not only are the OGFortnite default skins returning to the popular battle royale, but they will also be coming with some new color choices. An exact release date for when these skins will be made available has not been announced at the time of this writing, but there is an upcoming event that seems like a good option. At one point in Fortnite, around Chapter 1, Season 8 especially, the differences in landscapes were very prominent. Binguswasepiclytakentheorizes, "I'm not saying the old map will come back, but if it did I think the zero point would turn the island back in time and bring back the old map."
Titled Towers, Fortnite's most famous and recognizable location, has returned to the battle royale. Above is Thanos high above the map, teasing at the potential of a mod that lets players use various limited-time mode skins, move between seasons, as well as access live events. Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 4 is expected to conclude on November 30, as part ofFortnite's biggest event ever. It's rumored that this event will see Galactus from Marvel Comics devouring the currentFortnite world, which will then see it replaced with something else.
One theory is that the new world will actually be the originalFortnite battle royale map, hence the return of the original skins. One big change is that players will have more ways to earn battle pass XP outside of the battle royale mode. Typically, if you wanted to earn battle pass stars/XP, you were restricted to playing in one of the normal battle royale modes, or the 50 vs. 50 Team Rumble. Presumably, this means you can earn XP in alternate modes like Creative and LTMs. That will be great for players who want to earn higher-level skins, but don't have the interest or skill for intensely competitive multiplayer stuff.
A small group of islands have appeared near the northwest edge of the map. A group of coral buddies have appeared and have started to create a small civilization on the island. A named location has appeared at the northwest of the map called The Shark, featuring a piece of land in the shape of a shark. Well its really possible tho, theres hundreds of videos of old map coming back and speculations. Doomsday event, everyone wanting old map back, fortnite dying slowly, streamers quitting. So in june we have played the chapter 2 map for 9 MONTHS.
Personally, Me and many others think that the old map was more aesthetically pleasing because of it's bright and vibrant colors, but obviously that isn't the only reason. Ever since the new update with all the new locations came out, The game's pace was much slower because of Tilted towers, and now it is even worse because of Dusty Divot. I wouldn't even mind if most of the locations came back, just bring the game back to how it was like a while ago in simpler times.
Not only would this bring back nostalgia, It will also help the game as a whole. Notably, Chapter 2 Season 6 looked like it was going to bring big change. The start of the Primal season saw us ripped through different realities before settling on the Dino-themed map of bows and arrows. The closest comparison is probably the live event that brought the original version of Fortnite to a close back in October 2019. That event surprised players with a black hole that sucked up the entire Fortnite island, effectively rendering the game unplayable for two days before Fortnite Chapter 2 began. If you ever visited Junk Junction in the northwestern part of the map, it's likely that you visited the two houses to the east of the scrapyard.
Go there during Season 4 and you'll notice that it has changed. Gone are the houses and instead you'll find two small brick sheds and a large warehouse. Inside the warehouse is what looks like a filming setup. There area lights and cameras and the set looks like the inside of a house. A bit ago I wrote a story, but the final piece of that article was revived, and it was revived. If you didn't check the new Item Shop for the first time, it was updated with the OG standard skins from the first season of the game.
If this is a tease, it's unclear what it could be teasing like the return of the old map. Epic Games has more time on its hands having pushed back the release of Fortnite Season 3 and now gamers are wondering if an old map event could be coming soon. So far, there have been little official news on such an event happening directly from Epic Games directly. But there have been a few hints that something could happen before the start of Fortnite Season 3. Fortnite's art style has changed drastically since the start of Chapter 2.
There have been updated animations and more realistic landscapes, especially for those on the new enhanced consoles. Many battle royale games that moved away from their original map eventually came back to it, with Apex Legends and PUBG being two notable examples. Even Epic Games has hinted at a new POI being added this season, adding fuel to the Tilted Towers return fire. … Fortnite rarely changes things without some sort of in-game explanation, so a live event that destroys Coral Castle and brings back Tilted Towers is likely.
The timer had reached 0 and the Astronomical Event occurred, causing the large star to drop from the sky, revealing to be a very large Astroworld. The rift beacon at the frozen lake has also created a large bubble around the POI, melting the ice and snow causing Greasy Grove to return. The Durrr Burger restaurant has however been replaced by a large taco shop. The rocks in the hole south of Retail Row are now damageable, and have 1 billion hit points. Like the chunk of ice in Season 7, damaging these rocks in one game will affect players in all games.
Sure, playing the oldFortnite map might be fun for a Chapter 2 live event similar to the on-rail Galactus battle from Chapter 2 Season 4, but it's likely just a novel idea. A limited-time trip back to the map of old could be a nice throwback, however, the longer we play on it, the more those old complaints will rear their head. Image via GLFH.ggWhen Zero Point was delivering pieces of different realities, like the Mandalorian, that was also another opportunity to bring back the old map. Fortnite players could have entered a game with no idea what map they'd be going into because of the rifts they were entering along the way.
What does this all mean for the Fortnite Chapter 3 map and the game in general? There are sure to be major changes, new characters, a fresh battle pass and probably a new theme/story event to tie it all together. Fortnite fans have a lot more to look forward to in the near future. It's been confirmed that the next-gen version ofFortnite will launch alongside the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles, and it will be coming with some major enhancements. However, Fortnite will only be buildless for a short time. Epic Games has already assured players that building will return a little while into the season.
Fortnite Season 2 has removed building from the game and players want to know when it will return. One change that isn't completely clear is the zones that have appeared on the in-game map. Blue and red outlines separate the map into different territories, and some players don't know what they are. The IO has set up bases of operation around the map, blimps are parked above popular POIs, and you can't build anymore.
This is the second season of the third chapter which started after Chapter 2 Season 8. While most players refer to this season as "Season 2", it's technically Season 20. The demands to bring back the original Chapter 1 island majorly started after Fortnite witnessed a significant downfall in its user base in Chapter 2. There's no point denying the fact that Chapter 1 was highly entertaining, and from the looks of it, fans around the world now look forward to cherishing their old memories.
Twitch streamer SypherPK has also talked about the same frequently. After being disappointed by the last two seasons, fans call Epic to bring back the "OG" Fortnite. Some hints and clues left in loading screens and cut scenes have led to a major debate on new arrivals. Here are some of the expected changes coming to the game, according to Reddit. The Imagined Order presence on the island has been replaced by The Seven, and you'll find Seven Outposts dotted around the map.
As well as the usual array of weapons and chest, you'll also find Fortnite vaults tucked away in each Outpost, which will need a minimum of two players to interact with and open. There will be a lot to discover, no doubt, and I am looking forward to exploring the brand new map, though with a few old zones returning. We are in yet another new era of Fortnite, and we will have lots of additional coverage about the battle pass and new challenges later today once those are live, so stay tuned for that. The space craft from the northeast of Craggy Cliffs has reappeared on the southwest part of the island, east of Rickety Rig, now open. Whirlpools have appeared in the water around the island, including a very large one over many of the flooded islands on the northwestern part of the island. A large GHOST rebellion site has appeared on the southwest corner of the island, called The Fortilla.
The Fortilla is controlled by Henchmen and the boss, Ocean. The truck crash east of the Yellow Steel Bridge has been closed off by police cars and traffic cones. Two trucks have appeared by the site to collect the pallets and chairs. The hut down the hill of the crash started reconstruction. The secret underground area in the cabin northwest of Weeping Woods now has a dance floor, a large amounts of balloons and honey, and a map showing 5 X's around the island.
Outside the cabin, gnomes have appeared outside with Propane Tanks and other materials, most likely to break out the trapped gnome. Risky Reels eventually returned to it's Chapter 2 Season 1 look, and more changes have been made. Other trucks, containers, and hideouts were moved to the sides. Two circles of cones have been placed around the area, an excavator in one of the circles, possibly suggesting something will be dug up there. Multiple new unnamed POIs, or Landmarks, have also appeared across the map, such as a island called Camp Cod and a lighthouse. A big chunk of ice between B10 and C10 is cracking even more, and can now be damaged with weapons in game.
It has 5 Billion Health, and damaging it affects other players in different games. The floating island has gone to Rune 2 and lifted the rune and chests into the air and the CUBE began to absorb power. More CUBE growths have appeared on the house island, even creating a couple inside the house itself. Ninja wants it back , sypher, nickmercs, LITERALLY EVERYONE. Well it would be game savior if it came back with tilted etc like the season 3 map.
Alternatively, you can walk up to any featured island in the Welcome Hub and enter the code there. After a brief load time, the game you're looking for should display. If you've been playing the game for a minute, then you may remember going underneath the game's map in order to bust out particular weapons from the vaults that lay beneath its surface. The alien mothership also holds vaulted POIs straight out of Chapter 1.
So if Epic's going to bring the season 1 map back, now is probably the time to do it. So where's the "proof" for this rumored re-introduction of the season 1 map? Well, whip out the tin foil and put your hat-making skills to work. If you recall, it was revealed during an unvaulting event that the Season 1 map had a huge metal mainframe at its center.
Folks have noticed that the alien mothership hovering over the island actually looks strikingly similar to this mainframe surrounding the Season 1 map. The in-game island itself has gone through a ton of changes too, and OG players have been pining for the days of the original map layout. It seems very likely that Fortnite Chapter 3 will come out on 4th December 2021, bringing the next Fortnite season to life some time after The End live event. With half of one building gone, the only other change is the new crater. This will give players access to the hop rocks, granting anyone who grabs one anti-gravity for a short time. The map has changed so much since Season 1 that it's the perfect time to bring the classic back.
Fortnite leakers have revealed that there will be a limited time mode coming to the battle royale called 'classic'. The OGFortnite default skins aren't the only old-school items that are coming toFortnite. Whether or not this culminates in a full-blown return of the original map is hard to say, but it would certainly drum up interest amongFortnite fans. WhenFortnite first started, players who had one of the defaultFortnite skins equipped were mocked by some members of the community for not having one of the Battle Pass or paid skins. In fact, this led to bullying at schools, where the word "default" was used as a new schoolyard insult. However, it seemsFortnite fans are now nostalgic for the original default skins, and now it seems newer fans who missed their chance to get these skins will have a new chance to do so.
I just found this map and I have been really enjoying it I don't know what it is but I think locations retail, Greasy, Pleasent, tomato, there is buildings missing why is that. Along with will you make a bigger version of this map with the new thermometer islands. As is customary, the Fortnite Chapter 3 battle pass also features a few original skins for players to earn. It would be weird for Fortnite to not include a battle pass for the inaugural season of Chapter 3, so of course they've got one ready. The official Polish Fortnite YouTube channel jumped the gun and posted its trailer early, and although it was quickly taken down players had already saved copies.
Once you enter the island code, the game will display a preview of the map. Press Play to confirm the map, once you are back in the lobby, press play to load the Island. Tilted Towers is set to return when the snow melts on the Chapter 3 map.
Once the snow has melted, we'll get a good look at the new Tilted Towers and see how different it is from the original. To combat the lack of building at the start of the season, players have overshields that add 50 points to their health. In contrast to that, Fortnite now comprises some of the most skilled Esports athletes in the world. Even casual players have drastically improved their skills, and as a result, the game is more sweaty than ever. It is unlikely that these conditions would change even with the return of the old map. Over the three years of its release, Fortnite has gone through a plethora of changes.
